I have been giving talks to Camera Clubs and Photographic Societies for a fair number of years, and am listed in the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain Handbook. I am prepared to judge competitions/exhibitions of a general nature and enjoy looking at pictures on any subject, either prints or slides.

This talk is about how I started in Photography and shows how I gained my LRPS and ARPS. The talk is mostly non-too-serious, while also giving essential information on technical aspects.

Equipment Required for Talk

The first part of the talk takes you through my beginnings in photography from the purchase of my first 'serious' camera and the production of my first prints. It tells of my first experiences in a camera club and shows how I progressed in photographic and printing technique. Comparisons are made between prints produced from the same negative at different stages in my photographic career.
The second part of the talk shows my LRPS and ARPS panels, with some information about presentation methods.

Requirements are few. A print easel is essential. The other item which would help is some means of displaying my LRPS and ARPS panels (two rows of prints, maximum number on bottom row of seven prints).
Something can usually be improvised on the night if nothing is available, so don't worry if you have nothing specially made.
